Pre-Sale Make-Over with Ongoing Garden Maintenance

Our house sold at auction on Saturday and I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for helping us get there. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon with about 200 people standing outside. We are delighted with our new garden! Gill created a space that really works and the team did a great job, always professional and helpful. A dark and depressing spot has been transformed into a beautiful small garden with paving that brightens the area, along with many colourful and diverse plants including bamboo and bromeliads. What impressed me most about Gill and his team, in addition to the more obvious final product (which was fantastic), was his reliability. They turn up when they say they are going to, they send reminders about when they’ll next be on site and they’re very responsive to queries. Gill also impressed me for never trying to oversell or up-sell. Our project was about getting the house ready for sale and changing an eyesore of a yard into a feature within a reasonable budget, but on which we’d at least get our money back. Gill had a vision of what we could achieve and he really delivered. I would highly recommend Gill and his team.

We are delighted with our new front garden which looks fantastic and was completed to a very high standard. Gill did a great job working with our brief which was made a little more difficult due to the fact that that the garden doesn’t get much sun which restricted the type of plants we could use. The team were very responsive and more than happy to undertake some additional work that was not in the original scope. We’d be happy to recommend Dr Garden.

We are both delighted with the work Gill and his team have done on our garden. Before they arrived the site was somewhat of a disaster area. Also, given the steep block and two people suffering severe effects of arthritis, the new access ramp has proven a huge advantage. The colourful and varied plantings have made the whole site a great success with relatives and friends.

We were extremely happy with the service Dr Garden provided and love our new garden. Gil was very knowledgeable and had good suggestions for plants and putting in a new irrigation system. We were also happy with the detailed quote and there were no extra surprises at the end.

The gardeners were very reliable and took them no time to get the job done. They even helped assemble a new shed we purchased. Would highly recommend this service.

Gill and the Dr Garden team designed and implemented a brilliant makeover in my courtyard in Woollahra. With old paving and roots, steps to access and a 100 year old house no issue was too much trouble and they found a solution to everything. Gill’s advice on design and materials was brilliant. The team worked efficiently, kept the place clean and were lovely to have around the property.

They transformed the backyard to a beautiful garden!

We have purchased a townhouse, and Gill and his team has transformed the backyard to a beautiful lawn garden. Gill came and checked this site carefully, and provided detailed plan and estimation. The team completed the work on schedule, and advised me for the future maintenance. Gill visited here 2 weeks after finishing the work and checked the condition. They are filled with responsibilities. A new neighbour, he was a gardener, had a look of the garden, and said “I dont often say good job, but this is a good job”. Thank you the team!

We had the entire backyard and side of the house redesigned with a brand new layout. New deck and pergola, new grass, new landscaping with an amazing array of plants and a stone walkway up the side of the house. I’ve never seen a more dedicated and talented team. Arrived at 7am every morning, took 30mins for lunch and worked straight through till 4. No request was a problem and boy does our backyard look amazing! I have had Dr Garden look after my garden for many years and they have always done an amazing job. Recently we decided to totally redo our garden – both front and back. Dr Garden ran to job from start to finish. In a totally consultative process they planned the entire job – the concept, the landscaping and removal of the old garden and the planting of the new. They also did all the hard landscaping – the removal of our old deck and the laying of the new, laying of pool tiles and the installation of a beautiful new glass pool fence. They were aware of budget limitations and at no time were we presented with unexpected ‘unavoidable’ costs. They worked to time and were always polite, courteous and friendly. We are so thrilled with our new outdoor space. Thanks to Gill, Dave, Matt, Hannah and the team who did a fabulous job transforming our garden from a drab, uninspiring area to one that we love spending time in. Our brief was a garden that offered layered textures, made more of a feature of the pool and entertaining area, and very importantly, that was self watering. It was great to work with professionals who know their stuff and could offer guidance and advice, and help transform our novice ideas into a reality. My absolute favourite new plant is the weeping Japanese Maple, but the decorative screens and vertical gardens make our backyard an oasis. Thanks Dr Garden – we love it!

I have just spent a week with the wonderful team at Dr Garden. My new oasis is gorgeous and more than I anticipated. Each member of the team was pleasant, fun, obliging and happy to please. Gil is a great organizer and each teams task dove-tailed together beautifully. They were hard working and industrious, efficient and professional. It was hot and dusty work and I was happy to ply them with drinks (non alcoholic of course!), tea and coffee and they were so polite and appreciative. We have been very fortunate to live in Coogee for many years with magnificent views of the ocean and Wedding Cake Island.
